Kia Telluride Shows True Grit with Successful Showing at Rebelle Rally

The Kia Telluride recently proved that its versatility goes well beyond its on-the-road excellence when it earned a second-place overall finish a the Rebelle Rally in Irvine, CA. Competing in the X-Cross class, Alyssa Roenigk (driver) and Sabrina Howells (navigator) piloted their 2020 Telluride SX for eight days across the daunting California and Nevada deserts. The duo drove from Lake Tahoe to the Mexican border, tackling rocky terrain and sandy landscapes, winning several stages and garnering the most point on the final day of competition.

Making the achievement even more incredible, the Telluride completed the race with minimal modifications, which included all-terrain tires and a skid plate to protect the fuel and oil pan areas.

"On the final day, when we pulled up to checkpoints deep in the Imperial Sand Dunes and saw the look on the faces of the 4×4 teams when we beat them there – that is a memory that will stick in our minds for a long time," said Alyssa and Sabrina. "The Telluride was an incredibly capable third teammate, and we were grateful for the opportunity to take her on such an awesome adventure."
